While the Autumn Budget is the hot topic of discussion nationwide, DMR Collation is excited to share a noteworthy update regarding our fixed fee and hourly rate structures. These adjustments have been made to ensure that our services remain fair and proportionate for all of our valued clients.
Why the Change?
For nearly two years, our standard fixed fees and hourly rates have remained unchanged. During this time, we’ve made significant strides in enhancing our services. We’ve refined our analysis capabilities and introduced advanced tools that streamline our collation and redaction processes. The records we handle have evolved, with many now being electronic patient care records, allowing us to process them much faster than before. In light of these advancements, it has became crucial to re-evaluate our fee structure to guarantee that we continue to provide cost proportionate services to our clients.
What’s New?
The good news is our fixed fees and our hourly rate time estimates have actually decreased overall, especially for larger bundles. Here’s how:
- Simplified Services: We’ve streamlined our range of services based on direct feedback from our clients simplifying the instruction process and concentrating on our most in-demand core services.
- We have introduced a new option for AI Collation of records via Sortal which, in some instances, may prove a quicker and cheaper alternative collation option for clients.
- Lower Tariffs: Our in-person collation, schedule of radiology and redaction tariffs have been reduced to £50 per hour.
- A Unified Chronology Tariff: We have eliminated the different charges associated with different chronology specialisations, such as Personal Injury, Clinical Negligence, and Obstetric Claims. Instead, we now provide one single fee range for all chronology specialisation work.
- Retirement of Our Detailed Chronology Template: Our Summary Chronology template has become a firm favourite amongst our clients, with approximately 95% of current requests leaning towards it. In contrast, the Detailed “Traditional” Chronology template is less popular, as most clients now prefer the cost-effective, timeline/summary format of our Summary Chronology that is quicker to create without compromising on record analysis and content. To adapt to this trend, we have decided to discontinue our Detailed “Traditional” Chronology service option. This change will simplify analysis choices for our clients, and ensure that our chronology preparation costs are kept as low as possible.
- Increased Page Count: The standard file size page count has been increased from 400 to 500 pages to better align with industry standards.
- We have eliminated our additional fees for printing and photocopying, as more records are being collated digitally.
- We have removed our postal charges for return of physical records/CD Roms of radiology and now offer this as a complimentary service.
- Efficiency Improvements: The time estimate for collation and analysis of larger bundles has been reduced, thanks to our refined processes.
- Advanced Redaction Software: With improved redaction software, the time required for redaction tasks has decreased.
Our fee revisions reflect our commitment to providing efficient, cost-effective services while adapting to the evolving nature of medical record collation industry.
We’re excited about these changes and look forward to continuing to serve you better!
