We are seeking a meticulous and highly organised Medical Record Collator/Paginator to join our niche medico-legal firm in Devon. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, organising, and paginating complex medical records to assist our clients’ legal teams in preparing cases. This is a crucial role that supports the efficiency and accuracy of personal injury, clinical negligence and family law case preparation, ensuring that medical documents are easy to navigate and review for solicitors, barristers, medico-legal experts and the court alike.  The role is full time and office based in Ivybridge, Devon.  Previous experience in collating medical records is desirable, but, if you don’t have this experience, this role would also suit someone who has an appropriate background in medicine or personal injury/clinical negligence litigation. 

Salary

£22,223 to £30,460 pa dependant upon experience.

What will you do?

Be a key member of our team in the sorting, indexing, scanning and pagination of medical records and other associated records. Please see the role profile for full details.

What are we seeking in a candidate?

  • Previous experience of sorting and indexing medical records into subject and chronological order, ideally in medical, legal or a medico-legal environment.
  • A fine eye for detail and the ability to spot errors and typographical mistakes.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • A minimum typing speed of 65 words per minute.
  • Excellent communication, grammar and punctuation skills.
  • Strong ICT skills, including competency in the use of technical scanning equipment and viewing CD Roms/ZIP files.
  • The ability to deal sensitively and appropriately with confidential information.
  • The aptitude to work within stipulated timescales and to work independently.
  • Knowledge and experience of working with Microsoft and Adobe packages.
  • Preferrable prior experience of working with a case management system.
  • A professional can-do attitude.
  • Good client care skills when interacting with clients, colleagues and nurse analysts.
  • A team player with a proactive and solution-focused attitude
